The store window is now an AI chat

Modern retail started with selling via brick and mortar, using storefronts, then of course the internet and e-commerce: we had magazines, newspaper, and billboards in the form of QR scanning, and social feeds. Some retailers were late to follow, and some weren’t. Adaptive to change is what it all comes down to, and history tells us which ones came out ahead. To be contextually there when your customer expects you to be.

So, what is next? The channel is now a conversation you’re having with AI.

Products are now purchasable directly inside AI engines. A person asking questions to their AI, not necessarily a shopping question, and suddenly they get a suggestion, and a buy button on the spot. A few taps, and it’s done, “Your products will be shipped shortly”.
